I can’t believe that we are actually at the last part of Priya and Ashish’s wedding! Their Indian wedding reception. The large vases—which was part of the hotel—literally had flowers pouring out from the top. And the guest list… Priya loved the concept of having a picture of the two of them with all of the guests assigned tables printed in each card. There they could pull their names to reveal their assigned table.
Priya was definitely a sight for sore eyes! Her plum dress was gorgeous! Both she and Ashish look dashing in front of the white and gold wall art at the J Bar. We were excited to have been given time to visit a nearby waterfall. These made for amazing pictures! ❤
Once the ballroom was ready, we got a chance to come in just before opening the doors for guests. It was beautiful! The backdrop and stage was flawless! This final room transformation was breathtaking! From the drapes on the stage to the reflective dance floor, I was impressed by how lovely everything turned out!
Cousins, siblings, parents, relatives, and friends of all ages performed beautifully for Ashish and Priya. Each toast given were filled with fond memories and well wishes for the new couple.
Priya herself surprised us all as she stood up to dance with her bridesmaids for Ashish.
Their wedding invitation looked more like a book! Lovely and durable!
I cannot stress how much I love taking crying pictures at weddings! There is something about capturing raw emotion like this. During the daddy-daughter dance Pravin held Priya in his arms as she wept on his shoulder. And just for a brief moment as he turned his face, being strong for his daughter I noticed a tear in his own eyes.
If you have never been to and Indian wedding reception before, you may want to kick off your shoes now! Or start practicing your dance moves! They simply know how to party!! Once the dance floor opens to everyone else, it pretty much stays filled until closing time. As you can tell it filled up quite fast and quite a bit! Throwing both Priya and Ashish upon their shoulders those carrying them still danced below! It is such a fun sight to witness when you see guests enjoying this lively party!
I stepped outside for a moment to look at the finished product that Cindy created of the life painting and as I took close up pictures of small little sections I recognized a silhouette wearing black and gold holding a camera at the edge of the elevated aisle! I was both excited and honored to have made it to be part of the life painting!
Before wrapping up the evening, we catch Priya and Ashish one last time dancing. Her arms locked around his neck. Moments like these reminds us why we do what we do. We love meeting couples who have fallen in love and who have found someone to stand by forever. We are so happy that Priya and Ashish found each other and we are truly honored that they asked us to be part of capturing their wedding memories!♥
